About Zumbro Education District (ZED): ZED is an education district serving seven member districts that include Triton, Kasson-Mantorville, Stewartville, Pine Island, Byron, Hayfield, and Blooming Prairie.  ZED offers a wide array of general education and special education services to our member districts (please refer to for details). The ALC serves at-risk students in grades 6-12 with unique programming. ZED has been in existence for over 30 years and is located in Byron (MN) which is 8 miles away from the city of Rochester (MN). **ZED will be opening a newly 61,000 square foot constructed building for all programs in Kasson (MN) starting in the 2022-23 school year.

Job Summary:  The ALC Math teacher delivers academic programming in multiple math content areas for students; develops and delivers engaging curricular content based on state and local standards; implements differentiated instruction with a focus on personalized learning; embeds social-emotional learning, various technologies and a variety of pedagogical approaches into daily activities; establishes effective classroom management with a focus on restorative practices; communicates effectively with all stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
– Valid Minnesota Teaching License in High School Math
– Proficient with multiple technologies that support synchronous and asynchronous learning environments
– Ability to cultivate a creative, flexible and positive learning environment through effective classroom management and instruction, innovative teaching techniques, and strong communication skills
