Full Time 260 days/8 hrs/day
- First point of contact for new employees regarding all insurance benefits.
- Primary front desk attendant.
- Coordinator and presentor of all orientation benefits meetings for all new or newly eligible employees.
- Assist employees with online enrollment system.
- Process new enrollments into the Insurance Benefits Database and submit payroll benefits and deductions to the payroll department.
- Process daycare flexible benefit claims.
- Provide clerical and customer service support to the Insurance Benefits Department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to deal routinely with confidential information. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling employee information. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a professional and timely manner. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in a clear manner. Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and work cooperatively with department staff and others. Treat all with dignity and respect. Proficient with Microsoft Office software especially Word, Excel, Access, Google and Google Docs. Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities. Must be physically working in the building.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong ability and experience presenting and explaining benefits, enrollment, life events, HIPPA, COBRA, flexible Benefit Spending Accounts and claims processing preferred. Extensive knowledge of Anoka-Hennepin’s employee benefits including health, dental, group term and supplemental life, long term disability, 403(b), sick and vacation leave preferred. Knowledge of Anoka-Hennepin’s bargaining unit and policy group contract language and eligibility thresholds for benefits and employer contributions preferred. Strong customer service skills preferred. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations preferred. Ability to manage many tasks with frequent interruptions preferred. Experience working in a school district or educational setting a plus but not required. Ability to be flexible with the schedule to meet the needs of the position (early morning and early evening meetings) preferred.
Rate of Pay: $1,477 bi-weekly ($18.46 per hour, $19.46 per hour with an AA degree, $19.96 per hour with a BA degree.). Excellent benefits package.
