Full Time  260 days/8 hrs/day

Duties include but at not limited to: 
Process life events including adding/terminating insurance coverages.  Work directly with third-party administrators troubleshooting Health and Dental.  Document follow-up status.  Work closely with Confidential 4 in Insurance Department in the coordination, monitoring, and communication of insurance benefit changes for employees.  Receive, record, and file workers compensation incident reports from all district departments and buildings directly with third party administrator.  Provide support to employees and the Insurance Department for the online enrollment system.  Input changes and adjustments into online enrollment system.  Track and distribute COBRA paperwork to all terminated employees.  Assist Insurance Supervisor with termination of employment continuation paperwork.  Provide clerical and customer service support to the Insurance Benefits Department. 

Minimum Qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to deal routinely with confidential information. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling employee information. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a professional and timely manner. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in a clear manner. Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and work cooperatively with department staff and others. Treat all with dignity and respect. Proficient with Microsoft Office software especially Word, Excel, Access, Google and Google Docs. Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods.  Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities.  Must be physically working in the building.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong customer service skills, ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations preferred.  Ability to manage many tasks with frequent interruptions preferred.  Experience working in a school district or educational setting a plus but not required.  Ability to be flexible with the schedule to meet the needs of the position (occasional evening events/meetings) preferred.

Salary:  $1,477 bi-weekly ($18.46 per hour,  $19.46 per hour with an AA degree,  $19.96 per hour with a BA degree.).    Excellent benefits package.
