Job Description: 
The digital learning specialist will utilize best practices working at the intersection of technology, curriculum, and pedagogy to deepen opportunities of student learning.  The specialist will work with teachers to be creative and deliberate in order to support blended learning strategies, increase teacher competence and confidence in the delivery of curriculum using technology as a tool to differentiate and support personalized learning in traditional, hybrid, online, and distance-learning environments.  The elementary digital learning specialist will also collaborate with elementary school administration, Department of Curriculum and the Instruction, and Technology Department on the design, planning, and delivery of hybrid and/or blended learning, online and distance learning experiences for all learners. 
 

Education / Certification Requirements:

  • Current Minnesota Teaching license 

Experience Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience utilizing technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in classroom applications.
  • Experience as a classroom teacher with successful experience using an LMS for an online presence.
  • Effective communication and teaming skills, willingness to be flexible and excellent attendance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information about students, families and staff.
  • Experience working with diverse students and families.
