Position: Early Childhood Screening Developmental Screener                
Location: Beaver Lake
Start date:  ASAP
Salary: $27.07 per hour
Schedule:  Approximately 10 hours per month for 10 months
Benefits:  This position is not eligible for benefits


Administer developmental screenings with children who are 3 – 5 years old and share results of the Early Childhood Screening with the parent(s)/guardian(s).  


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Complete a developmental assessment on children 3-5 years old.

  2. Discuss developmental screening results with parents.

  3. Refer for assessment, diagnosis and treatment when potential needs are identified.

  4. Respond to parenting concerns as they relate to the child’s development.

  5. Participate as a member of the Early Childhood Screening Team in training, in-service and evaluation.

Work Environment:

ISD 622 is a community collaborative dedicated to educating and empowering all learners to excel in our changing world.  As an Early Childhood Screening Developmental Screener  in our learning environment, the individual will primarily work indoors in a church classroom or a dedicated screening room.  An incumbent in this position must follow all ISD 622 safety procedures including wearing required personal protective equipment as required in these circumstances.



Required Qualifications:

  1. Licensed Teacher

  2. Experience working with families

  3. Relates well to young children and displays an understanding of early childhood development

  4. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills

  5. Experience working in a team environment

  6. Familiarity with ISD 622 schools and communities


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Preschool or ECFE Teacher

  2. Experience in Early Childhood Screening.

  3. Knowledge of ISD 622 Community Resources

  4. Bilingual
