Description:  This teacher will provide general instruction in a 3rd, 4th or 5th grade classroom.  Qualified applicants will be able to:

  • Support district extracurricular and coaching positions as needed.  

  • Engage all students in attaining a personalized learning experience through thoughtful planning and high levels of instructional pedagogy so that students are able to create and think critically.  

  • Work collaboratively with others within the school, grade level and professional learning community.

  • Maintain a growth mindset, an attitude of gratitude, and a spirit of continuous improvement. 

  • Listen and be able to accept and apply constructive feedback. 

  • Foster a caring, nurturing classroom environment that promotes high levels of character and citizenship through consistent classroom management.  

  • Work within a standards based grading framework. 

  • Provide students with quality feedback through rubrics, scales and assessment. 

  • Provide clear, consistent communication to students, colleagues and parents. 

  • Be reliable, responsible and respectful at all times within the school learning community. 

  • Create intentional, professional connections and relationships with students and colleagues. 

  • Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the school and/or in self-selected professional growth activities

  • Select and requisition books, instructional materials, tools, instructional aids, and maintain required inventory records.
