Assignment:
Special Education Paraprofessional – Out of School Time Programs less than 12.5 hours/week (Internal only)

Salary Range:
Per : Para Educator Contract

Start Date:
08/29/2022 for on site trainings & set-up

Closing Date:
This position will remain open until filled with first application review occurring no sooner than 7/26/2022. Applications submitted beyond 7/26/2022 will be considered upon submission.

Work Week:
We are looking to fill vacancies for our Extended Day school year programs, which are open from 6:30-8:30am and 2:00-6:00pm weekdays from September through June. Availability to also work Non-School Days is preferred. 

Position Summary:    
The Extended Day program provides enrichment opportunities for youth with diverse interests, talents, and perspectives. This position performs intermediate human support work by supporting students with special needs individually and in small or larger groups. Responsibilities also include encouraging and modeling appropriate student conduct, speech, attire, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Out of School Time Site Supervisor.

Education and /or Experience:  
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children

Associates/Technical degree preferred.

Special Requirements:
Must hold AA/AS degree, completed 60 semester credits, approved competency portfolio or pass MN Parapro test
Valid driver’s license
Certified in First Aid/CPR upon hire
Training in Blood Borne Pathogens upon hire
Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention upon hire
Department of Human Services training upon hire
