Marshall Public Schools is seeking applications for the position of Special Education Paraprofessional. This position is located at Marshall High School serving grades 9-12.

This position will also serve as a bus rider as/when needed.

Qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent, alert and attentive, understanding of child development, oral and written communication skills, demonstrate affection for children, demonstrate interest in working with children with disabilities. Ability to earn a passing score on the ParaPro Exam.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, lift, pull, push, grasp, walk, hear, see and use repetitive motions. The employee may be frequently required to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds of materials, or lift students from wheelchairs, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Inside and/or outside climactic environment: occasionally subjected to extremes of temperature.

Salary/Contract:  Starting at $15.45/hour and up depending upon education, qualifications and experience; includes benefits. Working approximately 7 hours per day, Monday – Friday.
