Responsibilities: Under the Direction of the Building Principal or Assistant Principal, the In School Suspension Educational Assistant is responsible for supervising students and maintaining order in the In School Suspension room. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring students are actively engaged in their assignments as provided by the classroom teacher; assisting with materials as necessary. Maintain appropriate records as directed by the administration, including an individual file for each student assigned to ISS.

Qualifications: A minimum of high school level academic skills. HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent required. Must have demonstrated skills or experience in supervising student behavior and applying consistent consequences for appropriate and inappropriate behaviors; using basic office equipment; effectively presenting information in 1:1 and/or small group situations to students concerning district/program routines, policies, rules, learning principles, concepts and other lesson plans.
