St. Francis Area Schools is located in northern Anoka County and southern Isanti County. We are a rural/suburban district, covering 165 square miles with our early childhood center, three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and one ALC. Our school district annually educates more than 4,500 students and employs more than 750 staff members.

Summary of Position: St. Francis Area Schools is seeking a licensed school nurse to oversee health services in three of our buildings; Cedar Creek Elementary School, East Bethel Elementary School, and the Early Childhood Family Education Center. Cedar Creek Elementary and East Bethel Elementary are Kindergarten through 5th grade buildings that are within a 1/2 mile of each other. Both buildings have full time health office staff acting as the primary point of contact for students needing care. The Early Childhood Center is located in Oak Grove and houses programming for all children ages 3-5. There is a part time LPN at this location, though traffic to the health office is very minimal. By joining our team, you would be a part of our dynamic, talented health staff consisting of 3 LSNs, 4 LPNs, and 3 Health Educational Assistants.
Summary of Duties: Promote a healthy and safe environment for students and staff through prevention, early intervention, and collaboration with school and community resources; Provide direct health care to students and staff; Coordinate and provide health screenings and referrals for health conditions; Serve as a leader for health policies and programs and as a liaison between school personnel, family, community and health care providers; Work with the school teams to accommodate the health needs of students on 504 plans and IEPs and complete related paperwork efficiently. This position is district wide and will require some travel.
