Lifeguard – Community Education

Position Hours: Casual – After School Activities
Location: Northeast Range School, Babbitt, MN
 
This position is responsible for the safety of pool swimmers during after school pool activities for our Community Education program. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that the swimmers know pool rules and the poolside stays safe and secure.
• Verify pool conditions and area are safe and secure for the scheduled swimming activity.
• Lifeguard is responsible in emergency situations until help (with higher first aid and CPR certification/training) arrives at the scene.
• Secure the pool area and insure that all equipment is put away in proper place after activities.
• Ensures all doors to the pool and locker rooms are locked after activities and confirm all swimmers are out of the pool area before leaving.  

 
Qualifications:

• Active Lifeguard Certificate/First Aid/CPR
• Attention to detail
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to maintain the safety expectations of the pool area & enforce pool rules for patrons in a courteous manner.
• Pre-employment background check
