Position is full-time and part of the teacher bargaining unit.   This position includes additional summer planning hours.
Salary and benefits are part of the master agreement

Minimum Requirements:
Must have a valid MN teaching license and K-12 Reading License or able to obtain the appropriate license from PELSB, Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board


  • Experience with implementation of reading instruction and interventions at all grade levels
  • High level knowledge of K-12 reading instruction and MN standards
  • Ability to utilize instructional data to inform adjustments or changes in curriculum
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and community
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff


  • Design, plan and support implementation of K-12 ELA/ reading instruction
  • Supports literacy development through modeling and assisting teachers with the differentiation of instruction
  • Monitor implementation of district curriculum plans through the use of data and analysis and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Support the curriculum review process
  • Pursue professional development activities to broaden and deepen understanding of instructional strategies and teaching technologies
  • Provide leadership and support of 504 plans
  • Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations
  • Attend department and committee meetings
  • Other job-related duties as assigned
