Marshall Public Schools is seeking applications for an Early Childhood Paraprofessional. This position is located at Park Side Elementary School – Early Childhood, serving three and four year old preschool and ECFE students. The Early Childhood Paraprofessional will assist and support students in need.
Our preschool programs are part of the CEM (Child Engagement Model) established by the Minnesota Department of Education. Staff receive training on the child engagement model, as well as internal coaching to support the development of these skills. Additional special education training is offered monthly.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Positive attitude, flexible and have prior experience working with young children.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent, alert and attentive, understanding of child development, oral and written communication skills, demonstrate affection for children, demonstrate interest in working with children with disabilities. Ability to earn a passing score on the ParaPro Exam.
SALARY/CONTRACT: Starting at $14.12/hour and up depending upon education, qualifications and experience; includes benefits. Working approximately 6.5 hours per day, Monday – Friday, on student contact days.
