Description: Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy for a Long Term Substitute Special Education Paraprofessional to provide student support to in the DCD Program at Parkview Center School starting immediately – June 10, 2021. This position works 6.5 hours per day, 5 days per week starting as soon as position is filled.
Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who meet the standards for Highly Qualified Teaching Assistants. This includes 60 semester credits of study at an institution of higher education or an AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree, or a passing score on the MN Para-Professional Test. Please attach proof of these criteria to your application. Requires ability to lift, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds. May require assisting students with feeding, toileting, diapering, personal hygiene and physical activity. May also include driving responsibilities for occasional student transportation in district vehicles. Requirements include a physical examination, defensive driving instruction, instructiional video and assessment. May include other assignments as assigned.
Compensation: Starting salary range is $13.83 per hour plus an additional $2.00 per hour for completing online District Special Education Training.
