Crookston Public Schools is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Middle School Interventionist Long-Term Substitute beginning approximately March 7, 2022 for approximately 12 weeks. This position is responsible for working with students who are not performing at grade level, primarily in reading. Implementing Read 180 will be a primary focus of this position. Preferred candidate will hold a valid Minnesota teaching license in the area of Middle School Language Arts/English and have a strong skill set in math. Salary will be paid at regular contract rate once the assignment reaches 31 days and contract rate will retro back to day 1 of the long-term assignment. Recent teaching graduates are encouraged to apply; applicant must hold a valid Minnesota Teaching License or be in the process of acquiring one.
Crookston, MN is located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota and has a population of approximately 7,800. Agriculture is a very strong part of our community. University of Minnesota-Crookston campus is located here and is a very strong member and supporter of our community. Located just 25 miles east of Grand Forks, ND, we are close to the University of North Dakota, ample shopping, dining, recreational and fishing lakes, an international airport and more. District enrollment size is approximately 1,150 students, with the high school about 550 students grade 7-12.
