SALARY: Based on level of education and full years of licensed teaching experience.

Program Information:
Middle School Right Fit is a learning experience designed for individual students needing a nontraditional approach to gaining knowledge. Right Fit School programming is driven by student voice and will focus primarily on career paths. Students in the Middle School Right Fit program will learn a variety of social, emotional, and academic skills in a small class setting, while still following the District’s curriculum.  
Middle School Right Fit currently has a 30 student capacity for students in grades 6 through 8.

Job Summary:

  • Provide individualized instruction.
  • Teach within a project based model and other alternate learning platforms.
  • Teach a variety of subject areas based upon students learning projects.
  • Working as a collaborative team member with building staff.

Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota license in at least one of the following: K-6 Elementary Education, 5-8 or 5-12 Math, Science, or Communication Arts
  • Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable.
  • Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development.
  • Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students’ learning styles and needs, both academic and affective
