Description: Office Paraprofessional/Receptionist  
 
Job Summary:  This is a 7.0 hour per day (7.5 hour work day) position at Westwood School.  The position requires a person with strong collaborative and communication skills, is technology savvy, is self-directed but a team player, is culturally aware, and responsible.  The successful candidate will support work with attendance, scheduling, athletic registration and receptionist in office.  Will work with other office staff to run the school office, receive visitors, answer phones and other duties as assigned by the building principals or administrative assistant. 

Qualifications: Candidate must be able to handle confidential information, perform tasks proficiently while handling frequent interruptions, multi-task, and possess good communication skills.  Candidate must have excellent customer service skills.  Personal skills must include a professional, friendly, positive, and cooperative work style and the ability to work with many types of people in various circumstances.  Previous clerical experience (office management, secretarial, or book keeping) in an education setting preferred, as well as above average word processing/keyboarding and other clerical skills.  Extensive background in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Campus.

We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students.  Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning. Is Bilingual – Spanish and English.
