EGF ISD 595 Principal Intern Job Posting

 

East Grand Forks ISD 595 is looking for two (2) elementary principal interns to begin January 24, 2022 (or when the candidate becomes available) and run through July 31, 2022.  

 

East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 8,500 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district’s K-12 enrollment is approximately 1,900 students and there are four separate school buildings housing grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

The selected candidate will have a school administrator license in the State of Minnesota or currently enrolled in a licensure program.  Ideally, they will also have some experience in an administrative or instructional leadership role.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Current MN teaching license and five (5) years of successful teaching experience.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports

  • Partner with the building leaders, mental health team, and staff members to support and grow the MTSS and PBIS program

  •  Support teachers in implementing the MTSS and PBIS programs

  •  Establish data routines

  •  Design and enact proactive behavior interventions

  •  Assist the building principal with day to day operation and student management

Instructional Leadership

  • As part of the administrative team, support teachers in team and department meetings

  • Work with the building principal to build a new schedule for the next school year

  • Grow the systems to support students struggling academically through Tier 1 and 2 support

  •  Assist in the administration of the FastBridge and MCA Assessments.

  •  Establish data routines

Extended Day and Summer Programming

  • Lead a team to design and implement additional academic support during the remainder of the 2021-22 school year with a focus on academic enrichment.

  • Plan and implement an engaging summer learning program for students.

Other Duties as Assigned by the Superintendent of Schools

 

Compensation:

Salary and benefits are aligned to the role as a teacher on special assignments with extra compensation for a minimum of thirty (30) additional summer contract days.
