Q-Comp Peer Evaluator – Teacher on Special Assignment
1 position available for the 2020-21 school year

Duties:  Conduct summative and formative licensed staff observations/evaluations to determine participant performance level regarding Q-Comp appraisal standards. Conduct pre and post observation conferences with licensed staff including a review of student achievement data and school achievement data. Define and measure appropriate growth area targets. Develop intervention options designed to support licensed staff in meeting established standards. Design individualized, strategic intervention plans. Demonstrate and maintain a distinguished level of knowledge, expertise, and experience in evidence based instructional strategies to ensure fair and valid evaluation of licensed staff performance. Work collaboratively with licensed staff, instructional coaches, professional learning community coordinators, and administrative staff. Collect and maintain valid and reliable data. Participate in rigorous professional development. Complete and file required documentation in a timely manner. Three year commitment.
Reports to:  Q-Comp Administrator

Minimum Qualifications:  Continuing Contract Status with Anoka-Hennepin at the time of application.  Master’s Degree.  Licensed by PELSB.  Seven years experience in education.  (Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.)

Preferred Qualifications:  Three years teaching experience in Anoka-Hennepin with Distinguished or Proficient performance.  Experienced in building and/or district continuous improvement efforts.  Knowledgeable and experienced with a broad spectrum of programs and curriculum offered to K-12 students, early childhood, or adult basic education.  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.  Strong interpersonal skills.  Understanding of current research on best practice(s) related to teaching, learning, and leadership.  Proven experience in motivating colleagues to maximize their potential.  Demonstrated leadership skills and recognized by peers as a teacher leader.  Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.  Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and communicate valid and reliable data.  Understanding of technology and its applications in education.  Knowledge of continuous improvement and proficient in planning and organizing.  Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines independently.  Knowledge of the Anoka-Hennepin alternative compensation system.  Ability to demonstrate excellent attendance.  Previous peer evaluator experience preferred.

Start Date:  ASAP..  This position may be filled immediately by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 2 license after a 15-day posting period (after: 9/24/20).
