Kingsland Public Schools is accepting applications for a Robotics Club Advisor.

Job Duties:  

  • To assist students in the First Robotics Program, including the annual robotics competition.
  • Ensure that the robot is constructed using proper tools and adherence to safety guidelines. 
  • Mentor the students in carrying out their club functions. This will help ensure that all vendors are paid timely, that transportation to competitive events is arranged and sufficient chaperones are present, that money raising projects are well-executed, and that the robot is designed and constructed using good engineering practices. 
  • Supervise robotic meetings so that they adhere to the club charter and proper procedures are followed in conducting the business of the club. 
  • Represent the school to those outside of the Robotics Club. This includes parents, other robotics team competitors, officials, etc. 
  • Confer with the principal on all budgetary matters. 
  • Instill in students a sense of pride and accomplishment for their participation in the club. 
  • Carry out any other duties as deemed necessary by the Superintendent or Principal as related to above.
