East Grand Forks School District is seeking applicants for a Speech Language Pathologist. 

East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 8,500 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district’s K-12 enrollment is approximately 1900 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in speech language pathology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Minnesota licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.

Reporting Relationship:
The Speech Language Pathologist reports directly to the School Principal

Basic Function of the Position:
Provide critical role in supporting students’ communication developmnet, academic success and social-emotional well-being in an educational setting by helping students overcome their speech-language barriers so that they can reach their full potential.

Job Description:
Administer assessments to evaluate students’ speech/language/communication disorders.
Diagnose the nature and severity of the speech/language/communications challenges affecting the student’s function.
Develop and implement intervention plans to achieve students’ speech/language/communication goals.
Collaborate with regular education teachers, special education teachers, administration, support staff  and guardians to support students’ communictions needs.
Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal resources, programs, procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students and staff.
