The Forest Lake Area School District is a great place to work and live. Located 30 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro area, Forest Lake offers small town neighborliness with urban comforts and convenience.

At this time, we are hiring many substitute positions.  Once signed up, you can choose which positions and days that you are able to work. This is a great opportunity for retirees, and those folks who want or need a bit of extra spending money.

Substitute teaching positions are currently needed daily.  A teaching license or short call teaching license through the Minnesota Department of Education is required.

The Paraprofessional Substitute provides support to teachers in carrying out individualized and group lesson plans and classroom activities and also provides students with personal care and attention.

The Office/Clerical Substitute provides support to schools in the administrative assistant and other office roles – greeting and directing visitors, answering phone calls, assisting students who need appointments with their counselor, or who just need a bit of TLC.

The Title I Substitute provides support to staff in meeting the needs of students by monitoring students, interacting with students, setting up activities, identifying needs and performing clerical activities.

The Noon Duty Substitute monitors students during lunch hour and recess to provide a duty free period for the teachers and provides clerical assistance to teachers for classroom projects.
