Full Time

(1) Serve as District curriculum/instruction teacher on special assignment for ESL.  (2) Provide leadership in maintaining equal access for students through implementation of District curriculum.  (3) Meet with ESL staff and provide direction and support on curriculum issues.  (4) Provide leadership in aligning ESL curriculum, instruction, and assessment with graduation standards and requirements.  (5) Provide leadership in assessing ESL curriculum, instruction, and assessment needs for cluster schools and instructional staff.  (6) Assist schools in meeting special needs of all learners.  (7) Provide support and training in instructional improvement practices.  (8) Assist in organizing and facilitating staff development needs.  (9) Provide schools with accurate and timely information for decision making.

Minimum Qualifications:  Requires a current MN ESL Teaching License.   Work in collaboration with others and function in team settings.

Preferred Qualifications:  Preferred experience in ESL.

Start Date:  ASAP after closing. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days (after: 10/14/21) by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 1 or Tier 2 license, or OFP (Out of Field Permission) after a 15-day posting period.

Duty year = 187 days plus up to 20 additional days.  Flexible scheduling of assigned duty days over 11-month calendar, August 1 thru June 30.
