Job Summary:

Provide instructional, social, physical, and academic assistance and support to students while supporting teachers in promoting individualized learning, independence, and student success in furtherance of the District’s mission to meet the unique needs of each student.

Qualifications/Experience:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
AA degree or MN ParaPro exam passing score required.
Successful background check required.
Previous experience working with children preferred.

Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty. 

Skills Needed:

Ability to work with children to help them grow their skills in reading, math, and writing.

Specific Tasks:

Provide support for students needing assistance in mathematics, reading, and writing.  Providing data support to track student progress, and communicate in a flexible, fast-paced educational environment.

Hours per day:
5.50 hours per day
8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
As per contract, $13.24-17.04 per hour DOE
Possibility to add additional assignments to reach full-time status (6+ hours per day) and add benefit eligibility.
