Adult Learning GED/College Prep Teacher 


Job Summary 

This Adult Education Classroom teacher will be instructing adult students through GED classes, college prep classes, and possibly Integrated Education and Training courses. Helping adults reach their education and career goals, this position will cover multiple subjects including Language Arts and Math. Classes will utilize a HyFlex teaching model and will include teaching in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous, depending on the program needs each semester. Requires adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to become proficient in all three teaching models. Responsibilities also include lesson planning and instruction, monitoring student attendance, collaborating with other staff, and integrating technology into learning. 




  • Valid MN K-12 teaching license.  
  • Strong communication and organizational skills. A history of taking projects from conception to productive execution. The desire and ability to work well in a team environment.  

  • Previous experience working with teens or adult learners in an interactive, results-orientated environment preferred.  

  • Ability to be curious, flexible, and function well in a busy environment with high expectations for students and staff. 

  • Digital literacy skills required, including integration of digital literacy into the student learning experience. 

  • The desire and ability to become proficient in teaching in a brand new HyFlex environment.
