SUBJECT:       School Age Care (SAC) Summer Camp Site Program Supervisor at Noreen Activity Center, Grades 5-8

Positions start Friday, June 11, 2021 and run through Friday, August 20, 2021, Monday-Friday.
Friday, June 11, hours TBD. Monday and Tuesday June 14th and 15th, all positions will work 8 am-5 pm but no more than eight hours a day. No more than one week (5 days) of time off will be granted unless special conditions apply. Actual hours may vary according to enrollment.
SAC will be closed Monday, July 5, 2021.

Salary Range: $22.25-$24.28 per hour per the 2019-2021 salary schedule for paraprofessionals. All positions are temporary and do not exceed 66 days of employment.


Hours: 11:30-6:00 pm, Mondays-Fridays

Description: Closer, responsible for leading Middle School Summer Programming from 10:00-5:00 pm including walking or biking with youth to and from lunch, supervising youth at the pool or providing students who stay back from the pool with a youth-centered Rest and Relaxation option or class, facilitates youth-led PM class time, and provides options for youth late in the day. Supervises and meets with team members regularly to provide adequate support to youth’s needs and interests. Facilitates youth-led PM class time, and provides options for youth late in the day. Responsible for parent contact 3:00-6:00 pm. Plans with AM Site Supervisor to coordinate programming throughout the day. 

Primary function: To provide quality, age appropriate school age care to middle school aged youth within a varied curriculum under the direction of the Program Coordinator and Program Managers.

Qualifications: Experience with School Age Care and knowledge of youth development necessary; experience with Middle School aged youth desirable; excellent communication skills and a high degree of flexibility required. Experience working with youth of diverse economic, social and cultural backgrounds. Strong leadership skills, experience successfully supervising staff, proficient in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meets, Word, and Excel.


  • Plan, develop, and implement a developmentally appropriate program in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the SAC program and guidelines.

  • Experience supervising and managing support paraprofessional staff, and demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively as a member of a management team; ability to delegate, problem solve and team build.

  • Supervise and monitor youth at all times; lead, direct and supervise off site field trips, indoor and outdoor play, participate and intervene as necessary.  

  • Design and maintain a supportive, safe environment.

  • Maintain youth files and log behavior when appropriate. 

  • Knowledge of and ability to implement emergency procedures.

  • Guide youth’s behavior in a consistent, positive style.

  • Assist in guiding youth’s behavior using PBIS and Social & Emotional Learning practices.

  • Engage, facilitate, and demonstrate positive relationships among youth and staff. 

  • Maintain daily schedules, rosters, and accurate counts of youth.

  • Write, post and implement weekly lesson plans.

  • Help with the bike fleet. 

  • Enforce social distancing.

  • Enforce youth to wear masks.

  • Enforce proper hand washing and sanitizing. 

  • Ensure supplies and equipment are sanitized routinely. 

  • CPR, First Aid, AED and CPI certified.

  • Must have had Mandated Reporting training.

  • Other duties as assigned by program managers and program coordinator.



  • Frequent/Daily: standing, walking, swimming, lifting waist to chest; lifting below waist; carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting/pivoting, reaching, simple grasp, firm grasp, fine manipulation; feeling, talking, hearing & visual accommodation. Exposure to weather, daily, when supervising youth outdoors, ability to walk or bike two (2) miles on uneven terrain and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Must be able to swim, bike, run, and jump.

  • Occasional: sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and crawling. 

  • Wearing a face mask to protect the spread of COVID is required.
