Long Term Substitute – School Counselor

Delano High School is looking for a highly qualified candidate for a long-term substitute position as a high school counselor. Successful candidates will demonstrate a consistent focus on reflective growth, collaborative skills, and a dedication to student achievement. The successful candidate will support students in grades 7 through 9 with scheduling, social/emotional needs, group and individual sessions. Successful candidates will develop positive and supportive relationships with students, teachers, and families.  

Appropriate licensure (K-12 school counselor), or the ability to obtain appropriate licensure, is preferred. If necessary, DHS will work with viable candidates to pursue a Tier I/II or out of field permission.  

The dates available are approximately November 16, 2021 through the end of February. Dates are subject to change. This position may transition to a full time, two year position pending the results of Delano’s ESSER III grant application. The position posting will be updated as soon as confirmation is received.  

The rate of pay for this position is $229.49/day.
