Minnesota teaching license required by the start of the school year (current student teachers encouraged to apply!)
Special Education licensure: EBD, ASD, or DCD preferred. Also, Elementary Education licensure or Secondary content area’s as dual licensure preferred.
Successful background check required.
Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching; ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students and parents. Calm demeanor and passion for working with kids.
Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.
Provide special education services to students in a center-based setting IV program. The teacher will work closely with teachers, admin and support staff to teach students skills and strategies for managing behaviors and working towards using strategies in the mainstream setting.
Provide an ideal, positive learning environment, instruct students in individual or group sessions, develop, translate and integrate lesson plans, and establish positive relationships.

Hours Per Day:
7.5 hours per day
7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
As per contract
